My experience

My career has covered a broad range of communications roles and projects, with a focus on clarity of message.

Trained as a journalist, I have worked as a reporter, editor and producer in print and electronic media and as a government press secretary.

I was a senior consultant with one of Adelaide's leading PR firms, spent a decade in universities honing my ability to make complex material user friendly, and handled communications in the wine industry for five years. If you're really interested, my full resume is here.

Alongside writing in all its forms, I have developed marketing plans, run websites, worked with social media and conducted communications audits to help clients improve, streamline or establish inhouse capabilities.

My expertise also includes issues management and providing strategic advice on the communications implications of corporate decisions.

I  have run writing, media and presentations training sessions, tutored in news writing and lectured in public relations.
